A healthy diet is an intregal part of one's wellbeing, not only does the proper amount of vitamins and minerals promote physiological health but it facilitates proper psychological health. In today's world it is becoming increasingly difficult to eat well on a budget. Inflation has brought up the price of almost everything, yet wages haven't seemed to budge, so how does one keep their family healthy in a staggering economy? This package not only includes basic information on a healthy diet, including the four food groups, it also provides tips on the healthiest choices and how to save at the grocery store. Tips such as: where to find coupons, when to buy specific fruits and vegetables and how to store them as well as much more. The extensive package provides depictions of good and bad food choices as well as a " save at the grocery store" game, this package can be utilized in a lifeskills program or other educational facility. |

Vegetarian Diet |
More and more individuals are choosing to go vegetarian. Some studies have shown that vegetarian diets may be healthier than those that include meat and may also reduce the risks of some cardiovascular diseases as well as some forms of cancer, specifically colon cancer. This package includes brief definitions of the different categories of vegetarianism, vegetarian recipes, advantages and possible risks of following this type of diet. It is crucial to understand how to follow a safe & balanced diet when meat is being replaced. The extensive package includes activities where proper choices are made in replacing essential dietary material, an illustration of the anatomy and how digestion works and food replacement tips with a variety of vegetarian products which look and taste like meat, this is particularily important especially for young children and teens who don't want to appear out of place. |
